heres a story, i used to own a 210k daily driver hatchback civic 1992 model, and it failed emissions horribly, due to the stock cat, and the timing was advanced, i think the max was 220? and it got 400 or so, and so i took the exhaust off, took my chop saw, chopped off the section behind the stock cat, and welded in another cat that had 45k on it, and put the timing where it needed to be, so after doing that i go to get it smogged again, and instead of 400 it comes up with 4, pretty amazing. guess thats how im gonna get the Z to pass next time i have to get her smogged.
